Canzis Echols “Diamond in the Rough” Highlights

Canzis Echols (2016) is a dynamic scorer and a perennial All-District and Best of Preps selection. Her scoring ability is her most talked about asset but often overlooked is her tenacity on the defensive end and defensive rebounding. She recently had the opportunity to participate in the Diamond in the Rough Showcase. Here are some of her highlights from that showcase.

Coach Hemi Player Evaluations: Syverio Pollard

Coach Hemi latest player evaluation from the Spring Showcase features the three point assassin Syverio Pollard.  Check out the evaluation below.

Syverio Pollard (Memphis, Tenn.) Soulsville Charter HS – 2015

Pollard has the ability to heat up from long range FAST! He hit three straight 3-point jumpers in game play at the camp. His tight footwork and high follow through allow him to be a heat-check shooter in game play. Although he can pack in the offensive fire power, he showed great heart on the defensive end as well. He has strength and heart that allow him to impact on both ends.

Check out his highlight video:

Stephen Peck Coach Hemi Showcase Recap: Zaire Hicks

Stephen Peck is a national evaluator for and had some high recognition for Zaire Hicks performance at the Coach Hemi Showcase. Full article available here

“LEBANON, Tenn. — Coach Jonathan Hemingway put together the second annual Spring Showcase at Wilson Central High School. This unique, once a year showcase provided basketball players a combination of high level skill training as well as exposure to national scouting services in a personalized setting. This was the perfect time for high school prospects of all ages to get a tune-up before the spring exposure tournaments begin.

Zaire Hicks of Olive Branch, Miss., is a playmaking point guard with good court vision.  She handles the ball well with good change of direction. She made back-to-back pinpoint passes for scoring opportunities.”

Fellow Memphian Jaida Roper was also a standout at the camp.
