Erica Jones (2017/Southaven) Verbals to Kentucky State

Erica Jones (2017) verbally commits to Kentucky State. Its been an exciting journey watching Erica grow from a shy player with loads of potential to watch her grow into a mature player who is a game changer on both ends of the court. The Mambas family has watched her grow up right before our eyes and we are proud of the lady she has become on and off the court. Erica earned the respect of every coach in the Mambas because even though the process was difficult she never quit. Each workout she would get better and took the criticism and improved dramatically. The whole Mambas organization is all smiles knowing that that same little shy kid that walked in the gym three years ago is going on to continue her playing career on the collegiate level. From the whole Lady Mambas family, congrats to Erica and her whole family; we know the best for you is yet to come.

Zaire Hicks Verbally Commits to UT- Martin

Zaire Hicks verbally commits to UT- Martin. The greatest journey of coaching is watching players get better and achieve their dreams. Zaire walked into the Mambas program with a goal of playing college basketball and even though she didn’t play much her first year with the Mambas she worked until we couldn’t help but notice her improvement. She wasnt naturally good; she work from dribbling around water bottles in her driveway to extra shooting drills after practice. And as only Coach Bell can describe thats the Mambas mentality; that you wont outwork me and I’m always willing to improve mindset is what Zaire processes. As much as we hate to see her go as a player, we know its time for her to move on and we know with her mindset UT-Martin is getting a special player. Congrats Zaire the Lady Mambas family are cheering for your success.
