The introducing series is small snippets displaying players abilities in this edition we showcase: Laurissa Campbell an athletic lefty forward with tremendous jumping ability and great timing on shot blocks. Laurissa utilizes her athletic ability and vertical leap to elevate over defenders on her shot and grabs a high volume of offensive rebounds. she is also known for her highlight reel block shots which are displayed in this video. Laurissa will be a valuable asset at either forward position on the next level.
Lindsey Whiteside is a 5’10 guard/forward from Northpoint (MS) and a coach’s dream as a player. Lindsey has all the tools from lights out 3 point range, ball handling and vision, to almost perfect defensive rotation but what makes Lindsey special are her intangibles. Lindsey does all the things you cant teach: effort, energy and communication. She will dive on the floor for loose balls, instruct teammates on both ends of the court and even break into a little dance (check the highlight video). Lindsey is that glue player that every team needs; someone who does a little bit of everything. Lindsey will be participating in the Patosha Jeffery Fall Exposure League starting August 20th.
A brief clip on what Walters State fans can expect to see all season from 2016 incoming freshman Canzis Echols. Canzis utilizes her athleticism on both ends of the floor. Her vertical allows her to score with ease in traffic even over taller defenders.
Ciara Taylor (2021) Memphis Metro 2015-16 Season MegaMix. Ciara is an amazing talent that will be one of the best in her class by her senior year. She continually plays above her age and has the basketball IQ of a seasoned veteran. Keep your eye on this young talent.

Christina Nichols is a versatile eight grader with the Memphis Metro Homeschool. Memphis Metro varsity played three games in three days last week going 3-0 and Christina Nichols had impressive performances in all three plus had a big performance in the 14u game. Stay on the look out for this future star.
Astraea Moore (2016/ Southaven) is a 5’10 strong bodied, versatile forward that impacts the game in a variety of ways. Astraea can beat defenders off the dribble, finish through contact on the low block, step out and shot the jumper, or more impressively distribute the ball like a guard routinely setting up open teammates.
