PSG Media recently wrote an article covering the Bluff City Girls Fall League. The league is jam packed with the area’s top talent and competition is fierce. Tim Lownsdale, of PSG Media, released an article of the players who stood out the most in the league. The full report is available here. Lady Mamba Courtney Banks (2016)- Desoto Central was featured in the report:

Courtney Banks, 6’1 Post, Memphis Lady Mambas (Desoto Central HS, Desoto MS) – Courtney is a kid that I had not seen prior to the fall league. Banks is a big and strong body who moves very well and finishes with her right and left around the basket. She displayed the ability to catch at the top of the key and make a strong drive to the basket. Banks is a very under-recruited player with only JUCO interest. She has a 3.0 GPA and a 17(or 18) on the ACT. I have no doubt in my mind that this kid can play at the D-1 level if you are looking for a big bodied post that can move.

The Bluff City Girls Fall league is still going on every Sunday at Mississippi Blvd Church make sure you get by and check out some of the area’s top talent.
